Selous Game Reserve is the largest nature reserve in Africa and one of the most important national parks in Tanzania, spanning an area of 50,000 km². It’s a true wildlife oasis, far from the crowds, where you can see the true, wild side of Africa.
During your safari you can see
elephants, lions, giraffes, African wild dogs, crocodiles, hippos, kudu, elands, antelopes, black colobus and many other amazing species.
Day 1:
04:00 – Transfer from hotel to Zanzibar airport
06:00 – Departure from Zanzibar
07:00 – Arrival at Mtemere Airport (near Selous Park)
Full-day Selous Park safari (Gamedrive) with a professional guide
Picnic lunch in the heart of the park
Continuation of the safari after lunch
Dinner and overnight stay at:
Selous Safari Lodge or
Africa Safari Camp
Day 2:
08:00–09:00 – Breakfast
09:30–11:30 – Boat safari on the Rufiji River – observing hippos, crocodiles and waterfowl
12:00 – Visit to a local village – learn about the culture and life of the inhabitants
13:00 – Lunch at Africa Safari Camp
16:00 – Return flight to Zanzibar
16:50 – Arrival in Zanzibar
18:30 (approx.) – Return to the hotel
