Zanzibar is called the “Spice Island”—and for good reason!
With a guide, we’ll visit a local plantation where we’ll see exotic spices, herbs, and fruits up close.
You’ll learn about their uses in cooking, cosmetics, and traditional medicine. You’ll be able to taste, smell, and touch—with all your senses!
After about a 30-minute boat ride, we’ll reach the island, which was once a penal colony and is now home to giant Aldabra tortoises.
They were imported from the Seychelles in the early 20th century.
Some weigh over 400 kg and can live up to 250 years! This is one of Zanzibar’s top attractions. There, you’ll have the opportunity to feed the tortoises and learn about the island’s history.
Walking through the narrow, history-rich streets of Stone Town, you’ll experience the unique atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Among other things, you’ll see:
Darajani Market
Freddie Mercury’s House
House of Miracles
Forodhani Gardens
Old Fort
Jaws Corner
Zanzibar door
Catholic Church
There will also be time for shopping and a stroll through the local shops.
